Running a Meeting

Here you will find guidance for running a meeting/group.

The Seventh Tradition: “Every SLAA group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”

Seventh Tradition contributions collected at meetings are used for the expenses of the meeting which are typically rent, SLAA pamphlets, and incidental expenses. Meetings customarily maintain a 2-month prudent reserve of their rent expenses. Money collected beyond that is periodically sent to Intergroup (60%) and Fellowship-Wide Services (40%). More details on the use of the money by Intergroup and FWS can be found here: 60/40 pamphlet.

To make a contribution to your San Francisco/East Bay Intergroup, make a check or money order payable to “Augustine Fellowship”. If you’re sending a Seventh Tradition contribution on behalf of a particular group & meeting, be certain to identify the meeting by its day, time & location so that the Intergroup Treasurer can track your meeting’s contribution.
